Isn't it grand when you have something to celebrate? Now, don't misunderstand me. I know that each of us has not-so-great moments that we carry throughout our life's journey. Those are the memories that can sometimes haunt our happy ones. This Christmas, I encourage each of us to celebrate new moments that we should be creating with loved ones.
This doesn't mean that we walk in a state of delusion and ignore real pain and hurt. We just need to train our minds to feel the pain and then release it to God. Because, you know, the truth is that we were created to feel emotions, and this doesn't exclude the negative ones. God understands the hurt, the pain, the mishaps. He reminds us in His Word of two things: we are not alone and that His grace is sufficient.
The assurance that "God will never leave you nor forsake you" appears in various books of the Bible, spanning both the Old and New Testaments. This promise reassures us of His constant presence and inspires us to remain with God in faith and spirit. Regardless of our past, we can always repent, return to God's loving mercy and grace, and choose to abide in this promise. Let us be grateful for God's magnificent love and compassion for us.
My prayer is that this Christmas, you will allow the promise of God's love, grace, and compassion to be enough. That when applied, it allows us to enjoy every moment of today and inspires us to create new memorable moments. This is what each day with Christ brings and what allows us to understand that we are the ones who bring meaning to every Christmas holiday.
Merry Christmas and remember that to us a King was born, the Salvation of the World is the greatest gift of all! Let's put aside our hurts and differences and celebrate God with Christmas cheer!
